Blessing of the Seas 2026: Gallery
Once again, the local sea-suing community gathered for a service bu the harbour, hosted by the Pollinator Café
It was a pleasure to gather at the Pollinator Café for this year's Blessing of the Sea. The sun shone throughout, and the weather was kindly rather than oppressively hot.
Like last year, we had talks from many locals people who work on, or enjoy the pleasures of, the sea:
As ever, thanks go to the Durrant family for hosting the church at The Pollinator and their wonderful music, and to the local poets who shared their work.
The occasion was a fine reminder of the strong community spirit that surrounds this place. After all, Shoreham Beach is part of Shoreham by Sea.
I’m looking forwards to next year.
